Thanksgiving 2007

Okay, now I'm really going out of order. The first picture here is me sitting in the kitchen next to my first oven turkey...the others that we've had have been smoked turkeys and Shanne does those outside. So, this was my first one done all by myself. I was so proud of it. I made a salt brine for it and let it sit overnight in the refridgerator. The next morning I took it out of the brine and made a butter compound to put under the skin. It was soooo good! I was so pleased that I had to take a picture with Casper. And the last picture is me with my final product. I can't wait to make my next one...but I don't think that will happen this year.
